ANALYSIS OF ANGULAR DISTRIBUTIONS IN THE REACTION B$sup 11$(/cap alpha/ ,p)C$sup 1$$sup 4$

Journal Article · · Physical Review (U.S.) Superseded in part by Phys. Rev. A, Phys. Rev. B: Solid State, Phys. Rev. C, and Phys. Rev. D
Angular distributions of protons from the B/sup 11/( alpha , p)C/sup 14/ reaction were measured with alpha-particle energies ranging from 2.0 to 3.7 Mev. Eight resonances were observed, corresponding to states in N/sup 15/ in the range from 12.50 to 13.60 Mev excitation. Analysis in terms of the compound nucleus formalism has yielded spin and parity assignments for the six most prominent resonances. (auth) .
