Emission, excitation, and absorption spectra of alkali halide phosphors activated with thallium in the presence of different concentrations of the activator and defects in the host crystal are investigated. It is shown that in monoactivated phosphors there occur luminescence centers of at least two types. Their nature is discussed. (auth)
