The objective of the project was to deploy the use of seasonal gas cofiring for operational and environmental purposes in a wall-fired boiler equipped with low NOx burners. Specific objectives and goals includes: Achieve a 10% NOx reduction using 10% or less gas heat input. Reduce the unburned carbon content of flyash to less than 3%. Utilize gas confiring to resolve mill derates and maintain high unit availability.
