SHORT-TIME CREEP-RUPTURE BEHAVIOR OF TUNGSTEN AT 2250 TO 2800 C

Journal Article · · Trans. Met. soc. AIME
OSTI ID:4187891
The creep-ruptare bebavior of a powder-metallurgy tungsten rod is reported for temperatares of 2250, 2500, 2700, and 2800 deg C, stresses up to 7000 psi, and times up to 4 hr. The temperatare dependence and the stress dependence of creep rates are evaluated. Rupture time is fitted to the Larson- Miller parameter and compared to lowertemperature and higher stress results reported by Pugh. (auth)
