The characteristics and proposed installation of a 10-kw pool-type nuclear reactor at the University of Wisconsin are described. The reactor is being designed, constructed. and installed by General Electric Co. Experimental facilities include two complete 6-inch beam ports. Descriptions of the reactor and its operating characteristics, the building, the site, the operational procedures, proposed experiments, and an evaluation of the hazards involved are presented.
