EFFECTS OF IONIZING RADIATION ON NUCLEIC ACID (in German)

Journal Article · · Strahlentherapie (West Germany)
OSTI ID:4166693
A survey of present knowledge about function and metabolism of desoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) is presented. The nucleic acids have a central position, because they contain the "information" of the cell. Radiation effects on nucleic acids and conceptions about the mode of action of ionizing radiation are discussed. (auth)
