>In the progeny of rats subjected to single intraperitoneal introduction of Sr/sup 90/ (0.4 mc/gm), there is observed in the first months of life a large quantity of lymphoreticular cells and instability of granulopoiesis, later --- neutrophilic leukocytosis associated with hyperplasia of the leukoblastic section in the bone marrow. Subsequent introduction of Sr/sup 90/ to the experimental and control progeny provokes considerable changes in the peripheral blood and hematopoietic organs; these changes are more marked and manifest themselves earlier in the experimental progeny. After the administration of Sr/sup 90/ to the experimental progeny subsequent pregnancy and labor produces a more profound and prolonged anemia and eukopenia than in the control animals. (auth)
