Journal Article · · Kernenergie (East Germany)
OSTI ID:4159379

After a brief survey of portable radiation warning devices, a description is given of a transistor instrument with a loudspeaker. The power source is a small 3-v dry cell. The beta -counting tube exiends from the housing, and the battery is in the handgrip. The current requirement is 45 ma. A transverter supplies the counting-tube potential of 350 to 450 v. (T.R.H.)
