PLASTIC BEHAVIOR OF POLYCRYSTALLINE URANIUM BETWEEN 20 C AND-196 C (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. Rend.
OSTI ID:4154600
Traction tests were used to study the effect of temperature between 20 and --196 deg C on the plastic behavior of polycrystalline uranium. The rupture stress and the elongation at rupture decrease when the temperature is lowered, but pass through a plateau, which marks the passage from intercrystalline to transcrystalline rupture.
