The predictions on high-energy scattering, in a model proposed by D. Amati, S. Fubini and A. Stanghellini, were deduced from a homogeneous integral equation for the asymptotic form of the scattering amplitude. It is proved that, in the case of forward scattering, this asymptotic equation is consistent with the basic equation of the model. The normalization of the asymptotic form of the scattering amplitude, which is a nontrivial problem in the model under consideration, is discussed. (auth)
