The reproductive capacity of male mice exposed to 660-Mev protons at doses of 1000 to 1600 rads was restored after 4 to 7 months when the mice were protected with cysteamine, cystamine, AET, 5-methoxytryptamine, or hydroxylamine. No signs of somatic injuries were observed in the first generation offspring of the irradiated males and normal females. (C.H.)
