Study on the Influence of HB Contents in Organic Coolant on Electricity Production Costs in a 250-MWe ORGEL Reactor; STUDIE UBER DEN EINFLUSS DES HB-GEHALTES IM ORGANISCHEN KUHLMITTEL AUF DIE KOSTEN DER STROMERZUEGUNG EINES 250 MWe-ORGEL-REAKTORS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4144098

The optimum percentage of high boiling residues (HB) in organic coolant (OM-2) of a 250 Mw(e) ORGEL Power Plant and the influence on the energy production cost is determined. Independently from the radiolytic destruction rate, the HB-content ought to be less than 20%. Supposing a zero or first order rate, the optimum percentage is situated at 5% HB. (auth)
