Descriptions are given of the specifications and performance of a synchrotron put in operation at the P. N. Lebedev Institute of Physics. The design of the accelerator is similar to that of the 10-Bev synchrophasotron with an injector (a Van de Graaff generator of 800 kv) and vacuum system. In the future the injector will be replaced by a pulse transformer, increasing the acceleration of electrons to 10/sup 10/ ev. (R.V.J.)
