A MAGNETIC ANALYZER FOR VAN DE GRAAFF ACCELERATORS

The design of a 90 deg deflection magnet for stabilization of a 4-Mev Van de Graaf accelerator and for bending the beam from a vertical to horizontal direction is presented. The peculiar characteristic of the optics of the magnet is the double focusing for a fixed object and image position. The focusing properties are discussed. (C.E.S.)
