A FORTRAN program that calculates control rod effectiveness in a cylindrical reactor is described. The worths of slab, cruciform, and cylindrical control rods are obtained for different thicknesses to give a parametric output. The results obtained for cylindrical rods with the multicell method and the Nordheim-Scalettar method are compared. (auth)
