The regeneration of vessels in a healing skin defect runs three consecutive qualitatively different stages. The possibility of utilizing the latter fact as an objective criterion for the assessment of changes of the restorative process in the irradiated skin wound is discussed. A characteristic of the above-mentioned stages is given. A description of the technique and of the method of statistical treatment of the results is also included. (auth)
