Experimnents in mice, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs showed that innoculation with antituberculosis vaccine before irradiation changed the radioresistance of the animals. The degree of radiation protection depended on the species of the animal, dose of vaccine, time interval between vaccination and irradiation, and the combination of immnunization with other therapeutic measures.
