PHASE EQUILIBRIA BETWEEN B*SUB 2/O*SUB 3/ AND REFRACTORY OXIDES: THE SYSTEMS BeO-B*SUB 2/O*SUB 3/ AND ThO*SUB 2/-B*SUB 2/O*SUB 3/. Quarterly Progress Report No. 2 for September 1 to November 30, 1959

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4111355
In studies on the phase equilibria between B/sub 2/O/sub 3/-BeO systems and B/sub 2/O/sub 3/-ThO/sub 2/ systems, the volatility of B/sub 2/O/sub 3/ resulted in a change in the composition of samples heated at elevated temperatures. Procedures were developed for the determination of thorium, boron, and beryllium in each sample. (C.J.G.)
