Journal Article · · Inorganic Chemistry (U.S.)
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1021/ic50012a039· OSTI ID:4111313
A method for the preparation of anhydrous lithium thiocyanate, LiSCN, and its physical properties are described. The heat of fusion and entropy of fusion were determined to be 5.0 plus or minus 1.0 kcal/mole and 9 plus or minus 2 eu/mole, respectively. The density is 1.43 g/ml at 26 deg C. The solubility of LiSCN in organic solvents is also discussed. (P.C.H.)
