COMPLEX ANGULAR MOMENTUM IN THE NON-RELATIVISTIC POTENTIAL SCATTERING

The analytic properties of the partial wave amplitudes in energy and angular momentum for nonrelativistic potential scattering are discussed. The formal theory of scattering is reviewed in terms of Green's functions. Analyticity in energy and angular momentum for the partial waves and wave properties of the singularities are proved. Some conclusions from the theory of resonances and the analytic and asymptotic properties of the scattering amplitude in the momentum transfer variable are discussed. (M.C.G.)
