ON COMPLEX ANGULAR MOMENTUM IN MANY-CHANNEL POTENTIAL-SCATTERING PROBLEMS. PART III

Journal Article · · Ann. Phys. (N. Y.)
Many-channel potential scattering with arbitrary spin is discussed. A transformation of the Schrodinger equation is introduced that is shown to remove all kinematic singularities in the total angular momentum, so that the transformed S-matrix may be proved to be a meromorphic function of the total angular momentum, the poles being the dynamical Regge poles. It is shown that it is the trandsformed S-matrix that enters directly into the partial wave expansion of the scattering amplitude in the helicity representation. Unitarity is discussed in terms of the transformed S-matrix. (auth)
