Short-period variations of auroral luminosity were recorded at Lozovero station in 1961 to 1962 using a 180 deg photometer with a flat photocathode. In all auroral forms there were variations whose development and periods were similar to SIP variations of the magnetic field. The spectrum of these variations and their distribution by time of day are described. In some auroral forms there are brightness variations of other types, called bursts and bays. The periods and amplitudes of these types of variations are given, as well as the auroral forms in which they are encountered. (auth)
