CATHODIC ACTION OF THE METAL COMPLEXES AT THE DROPPING MERCURY ELECTRODE. VIII. URANYL-GLYCINATE COMPLEX

Journal Article · · J. Chinese Chem. Soc. (Taiwan)
The formation of complex between uranyl ion and glycine was investigated by the polarographic method. Reversible and diffusion-controlled reduction waves were observed over the pH range 1.7 to 5.0 when the glycinate concentration was 0.049 to 0.393 M. The effect of pH and the concentration of chelating agent on the half-wave potential was determined. The chelate species and the electrode reactions were established. (auth)
