In experiments conducted according to a unified technique, the transition of radioisotopes (P/sup 32/, Ca/sup 45/, Fe/sup 59/ , Co/sup 60/, Zn/ sup 65/, Rb/sup 86/, Sr/sup 90/, Y/sup 91/, Ru/sup 106/, I/sup 13 1/, Cs/sup 137/ , Ce/sup 144/) from the maternal organism to the progeny of albino rats during the embryonic and postembryonic development was studied. The passage of different radioisotopes to the progeny through the placenta during pregnancy and with the milk during the lactation period depends upon the physicochemical propenties of isotopes determining their place in the periodical system of elements.
