Chronic irradiation of albino rats with gamma radiation (daily dose of 0.05 and 0.5 r) does not lead to changes in the content of blood sugar, residual nitrogen, and total blood protein, and DNA and RNA in the spleen and testiclesIn the irradiated animals in remote periods there is seen a decrease of the oxygen capacity and catalase activity of the blood. In rabbits subjected to the daily effect of radia, tion (0.05 r) no changes were observed in the content of sugar, residual nitrogen and total protein of the blood. In irradiated rabbits there was a tendency to a reduced content of albumins and augmented level of globulin fractions of the blood. During selective investigations in experimental rabbits there was noted a diminished oxygen capacity of the blood. (auth)
