A prelimirary survey was made of the Sr/sup 89/, Sr/sup 90/ and Cs/sup 137/ in drinking water taken from the Ottawa River at Deep River and Pembroke, Ontario. The mean concentration of Sr/sup 90/ durirg the period Nov. 1959 to May 1960 was 0.9 mu mu c/liter. The mean value obtained for Cs/sup 137/ was 0- 28 mu mu c/ liter at Deep River and 0.4 mu mu c/liter at Pembroke. The Sr/ sup 90/ and Cs/sup 137/ concentrations found in rain and snow exceed those in river water. (auth)
