CHANGES IN pH OF BODY FLUIDS IN ANIMALS AFTER IRRADIATION

Journal Article · · Sb. Ved. Praci Lekar. Fak. Karlovy Univ. Hradci Kralove
OSTI ID:4085464
Studies were made on the pH of blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and urine in rabbits and pH of urine in rats in the course of postirradiation disease. The results showed that the actual reaction of the cerebrospinai fluid in rabbits after irradiation show a statistically insignificant tendency to an increase. The tendency is somewhat more marked than the parallel shift of pH of blood toward alkaline values. The pH of urine in rabbits did not change on the 3rd day after irradiation; on the 6th day after it was more acid. (P.C.H.)
