STUDY OF TERNARY SYSTEM W-Cb-Si (in Russian)

W- Nb - Si alloy ingots were prepared from high purity powders by argon arc melting, and homogenizing the ingots at l000 to 1600 deg C. The influence of varied amounts of components on micro structure, microhardness, hardness, phase composition, electrical resistance, heat resistance, and melting points were determined. The phase diagrams for the WSi/sub 2/-CbSi/sub 2/ system and the W- Cb--Si system are given. (Rev. Metal Lit., 21: No. 2, Feb. 1964)
