A logarithmic reactor period meter is described that contains a resistive potential divider with two oppositely poled semiconductor diodes. The input time-constant of the logarithmic amplifier is made small and the maximum smoothing time-constant of the differentiating amplifier is made large enough to give an acceptable noise level at low input currents.
