HYDRAULIC AND THERMAL STUDIES OF SILOE (in French)

Journal Article · · Bull. Inform. Sci. Tech. (Paris)
OSTI ID:4071051
The principle of the Siloe reactor cooling system is one of a classical swimming-pool pile. After passage downward through the core demineralized water enters a deactivation tank, then heat exchangers (water-water) and then returns to the swimming pool. The primary and secondary cooling systems, hydraulic characteristics of core components, thermal studies of hot-channels (maximum fuelplate surface temperature, flow distribution, hot spot factors), and hydraulic and thermal simulation of transient operatirg conditions are described.
