S>Biological shielding of Siloe is made up of successive thickness of water and concrete. Consideration was especially directed to radioactivity in the primary coolant. Radiation from N/sup 16/ and Na/sup 24/ is reduced by a deactivation tank and a warm layer on the surface of the swimming pool, respectively. Efficiency of this warm layer was demonstrated by the results given for operating experience at 10 Mw. (auth)
