CHERENKOV SPECTROMETER FOR MEASURING GAMMA ENERGY (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Pribory i Tekhn. Eksperim.
OSTI ID:4066403
A Cherenkov detector with total absorption from lead glass for measuring the energy of gamma quanta and electrons in the range of several Bev is described. The detector was calibrated with monoenergetic electrons in the energy range 0.5-3.0 Bev. In this range the detector pulse amplitude varies linearly with electron energy. The energy resolution for 1-Bev electrons was determined to be approximates 29%. (tr-auth)
