Tubercle bacilli exposed to cosmic radiation, with 2.1, 7.4, and 9.5 cm of Pb, not only showed a strong attenuated virulence, but also possessed a strong immunizing property against reinfection with virulent tubercle bacilli. The attenuation of the virulence and the immunizing property of tubercle bacilli placed under 9.5 cm of Pb are superior to those of tubercle bacilli placed under 2.1 and 7.4 cm of Pb. (C.E.S.)
