Alloys Mg-- Nd, Mg- Nd--Mn, and Mg-- Nd--Mn- Ni containing from 0.16 to 7.5% Nd, were quenched at 530 deg C, cold forged with 5 to 18% reduction, aged at 200 to 300 deg C and tested at 20 to 300 deg C. Tensile strength, yield strength plasticity, and grain size were determined as affected by testing temperature, Nd concentration, and cold deformation degree. (Rev. Metal Lit., 21: No. 3, March 1964)
