A sudden breakdown in Matthiessen's rule has been found during an investigation into the electrical resistivity of dilute magnetic GD--Tb alloys in the temperature range 1.5--14$sup 0$K. It takes place in the following way: In the low-temperature region the variation of rho with T ($delta$rho proportional to T$sup 2$) is slower than in regular metals (rho proportional to T$sup 4$). In the temperature range of the order of theta/sub c//5, $delta$rho passes through a well-defined maximum, indicating a nonlinear dependence on the addition concentration. According to theory, these corrections to the resistivity are associated respectively with the nonretention of the impulse of the system with the electron scattering at the dynamically disordered spin regions and with the isotropization of the distribution function of the electrons f/sub k/.
