Title: EVIDENCE FOR TWO NEW RESONANCES IN THE $pi$-NUCLEON SYSTEM. PART II

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4032631

Structure in the cross sections for meson( pi ) photoproduction suggest resonances at energies of 2.9 and 3.5 Bev with probable assignments of T = 3/2 and 1/2, respectively. Gamma-proton coincidence analysis indicates a mass of 490 plus or minus 80 Mev for the particles produced with the protons. A possible explanation is presented, and the parity and spin assignments are considered. (D.C.W.)
