Orally administered S, BETA -aminoethylisothiuronium . Br . HBr exerted a significant protective effect against radiation death in mice when doses of 1500 mg/kg were given 2, 3, and 5 hr before lethal doses of x radiation. Data are tabulated on the 30-day mortality oi treated mice after exposure to doses of770 r whole-body radiation. (C.H.)
