VOID FRACTION MEASUREMENTS IN CAVITATING MERCURY. Internal Report No. 22
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4017840
A method is described for obtaining precise measurements of local density (or void fraction) in an axially symmetric two-phase flow or of mean density in a plane parallel to (or through) the centerline. The application of the method to cavitating mercury in a venturi test section is described. The basic flow measurements resulting are presented. (auth)
