MEASUREMENT OF EPITHERMAL NEUTRON SPECTRA BY RESONANCE DETECTORS

Journal Article · · Nuclear Sci. and Eng.
OSTI ID:4015936
The neutron energy spectrum in a graphite moderator is measured from 10/ sup -1/ to 10/sup 3/ ev. The spectrum is measured using a resonance activation technique, with 6 detectors (In, Au, I, Co, Mn, Na). The neutrons are produced by the reaction Be/sup 9/( gamma ,n)Be/sup 8/; the maximum neutron energy is 1.18 Mev. (T.F.H.)
