A simple device is designed for coaxially aligning fuel cartridges with one another when they are stacked in a reactor channel. The device comprises a male portion and a female portion which are each secured to one of the terminal plugs so that they surround the bearing surfaces of the plugs. Each male portion is an annular ring having a semi-toroidal outer surface, and each female portion is an annular ring having a frusto-conical surface, The male and female portions have sufficient longitudinal clearance between them so that each cartridge rests on the one below it through the terminal plugs. The function of the device is described. (D.L.C.)
