DEVICE FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF A POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TWO SUCCESSIVE CARTRIDGES STACKED IN A CHANNEL OF A NUCLEAR REACTOR

Patent ·
OSTI ID:4003103
A device is designed for transmitting an electric potential difference from one reactor fuel cartridge to another, such as in temperature measurement by means of a thermocouple probe. The device comprises, on each end plug of each cartridge, a fixed central stud and a peripheral stud supported on the upper edge of a resilient annular cup. The fuel cartridge ends are also piovided with male and female annular members for centering the cartridges, such as described in British Patent 954,776. Electrical connections are made when the fuel cartridges are aligned and in contact with each other through their end plugs. (D.L.C.)
