This paper presents the influence on the static equilibrium position of risers due to the transported mass moving inside the risers. Two dimensional cases are considered. It is found that the displacements increase with the increase of the transporting speed. The problem is solved for the cases of given top tension, in which the total arc length of the riser depends on the magnitude of the top tension. From the parametric study of varying the top tension, it is demonstrated that the influence of the transported mass for the case of a given total arc length can be also investigated.
