The influence of temperature on the radiolysis of di-2-ethylhexyl sebacate was studied. The yields of 2-ethylhexene and hydrogen are practically independent of the temperature in the range from 320 to 470 K. The yields of carbon dioxide, 2- ethylhexyl pelargonate, butyraldehyde, heptane and high boiling components increase inappreciably in the temperature range from 320 to 400 K: at temperatures higher than 400 K, the yields increase strongly. The yields of carbon monoxide and acid products increase linearly with increase in the temperature, while the yield of 2-ethylhexanol decreases. 5 refs., 2 figs., 1 tab.
