The polarized gluon distribution and its determination in {ital p}{searrow}{ital p}{searrow}{implies}{gamma}(large-{ital p}{sub {ital T}})+{ital X}

Higher order (next-to-leading) corrections to {ital p}{searrow}{ital p}{searrow}{implies}{gamma}+{ital X} at large {ital p}{sub {ital T}} are computed and {ital K}-factors exceeding 1 are found. The cross sections peak at pseudorapidity {eta}1. Asymmetries are also determined, and at {eta}1 are shown to be very sensitive to the size of the polarized gluon distribution. Various schemes defining the Dirac matrix {gamma}{sub 5} in {ital n}{ne}4 dimensions are also discussed. {copyright} {ital 1995 American Institute of Physics.}
