Materials Data on Cd2PtAu by Materials Project
PtAuCd2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two PtAuCd2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Cd atoms. Both Pt–Cd bond lengths are 2.59 Å. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Cd atoms. Both Au–Cd bond lengths are 2.66 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pt and one Au atom.
