Phase equilibria in the Yb-Co-Ge system at 670 K

In this work, the authors report a study of the 670 K isothermal section through the phase diagram of the Yb-Co-Ge ternary system. The authors confirmed the existence of the ternary compounds YbCo{sub 6}Ge{sub 6} (structure type YCo{sub 6}Ge{sub 6}), YbCo{sub 4}Ge{sub 2}(ZrFe{sub 4}Si{sub 2}), Yb{sub 3}Co{sub 4}Ge{sub 13}(Y{sub 3}Co{sub 4}Ge{sub 13}), YbCo{sub 2}Ge{sub 2}(CeGa{sub 2}Al{sub 2}), and YbCo{sub 0.067-0.32} Ge{sub 1.7-2}(CeNiSi{sub 2}) and found two new compounds, YbCoGe and Yb{sub 2}CoGe{sub 2}.
