This paper addresses the use of multiple active power line conditioners (APLCs) for holding harmonic voltages and voltage distortion in a power system within IEEE-519 guidelines. The authors propose a practical algorithm for siting and sizing multiple APLCs, and illustrate the usefulness of the algorithm with a distribution system example.
