The Award DOI Service supports two workflows for DOI assignment- the Submit/Edit page and an API service. Required and optional information (metadata) about the award can be submitted through either workflow. Following DOI assignment, the metadata associated with the award DOI can be edited and updated at any time through either workflow.

Supporting documentation for submitting and editing award information through the Submit/Edit page can be found on the Help page. The Help page provides information about all the metadata fields needed for award record DOI assignment.

The Award DOI Service supports API submissions and editing of award information. To find information about submitting or editing award records through the API service, refer to the API submission documentation.
