Inflationary impact evaluation of the proposed Electric Power Facility Construction Incentive Act of 1975
The purpose of the Act is to provide for expansion of electric power facilities other than petroleum-fueled generating facilities by reducing the cost of construction for non-petroleum electric utility properties through changes in the investment tax credit and the allowances for amortization and depreciation and by encouraging investment in electric utilities. A narrative analysis of each of the five titles in the Act is given. These are entitled: Increased Investment Tax Credit; 60-month Amortization of Pollution Control and Fuel Conversion Equipment; Depreciation on Construction work in Progress; Divided Reinvestment Plan; and Ratemaking Treatments, Inclusion of CWIP in rate base.
