Title: 70mm roll film camera system for remote metallography

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4397844

From joint meeting of the American Nuclear Society and the Atomic Industrial Forum and Nuclear Energy Exhibition; San Francisco, California, USA (11 Nov 1973). An automatically sequenced 70mm roll film camera system was adapted with minimal modification for use with remote metallographs to record high magnification (25 to 750X) photomosaics. The system is also applicable for other photorecording requiring large numbers of photomicrographs. The system can be used with nearly any metallograph and features interchangeable components that are available as shelf items. A variety of readily available standard photographic films are used for recording and conventional processing equipment and procedures are employed to process film and print photomicrographs. A substantial unit cost reduction for photomosaics has been realized in the eighteen months that the system has been in operation. (auth)
